Stopping Violence Services Christchurch (SVS) has been providing non-violence interventions for men and women since 1983

SVS is renowned for its excellence in providing programmes that are delivered by highly skilled, knowledgeable and professional staff. We contract with the Ministry of Justice, Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Social Development to deliver services throughout the Canterbury region.

SVS is absolutely committed to the objective of the 2018 Family Violence Act: Recognising that family violence, in all its forms, is unacceptable, stopping and preventing perpetrators from inflicting family violence and keeping victims, including children, safe from family violence.
